Roots & Branches Family History Day In-Person

Celebrate Family History Month and America 250 at Northwest Branch this October! On Saturday, October 3, 2026, we invite you to enjoy a full lineup of speakers that includes Bill Glankler of the Missouri State Archives-St. Louis, Dennis Northcott of Missouri Historical Society, Elizabeth Kurrus, historian and author, and Amelia Humphrey, librarian and archivist of the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy of St. Louis!

In addition to these great presentations, you'll enjoy a blend of folk, blues, and Appalachian mountain tunes with Catching the Westbound band starting at noon. A digitizing station will be available for scanning your priceless records, documents, and photos to take home on a flash drive. Family-friendly activities, light refreshments, and Genealogy Room tours throughout the day. Friends of the Library will have a genealogy and history book sale happening in the lobby!
